Immediate opening for a full time Commercial Journeyman Pipefitter

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial Journeyman Pipefitter to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship.

The Commercial Journeyman Pipefitter will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of commercial piping systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical piping drawings, the ability to work independently or as part of a crew, and a dedication to maintaining a safe jobsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to plan pipe system layouts.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., welding, threading, grooving, brazing).
  • Install and test systems including but not limited to steam, hydronic, gas, and chilled water piping.
  • Perform rigging and alignment of piping components and support systems.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
  • Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Communicate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to coordinate work on-site.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyman Pipefitter license in MN/WI
  • 4+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Proficient with various piping systems: carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and cast iron.
  • Experience with threading, welding, grooving, and brazing preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a variety of construction environments (elevated, confined spaces, etc.).
