We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources & Safety Coordinator to support both our people operations and safety compliance efforts. Responsibilities
Human Resources Functions
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
- Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Help implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws
- Coordinate training and professional development initiatives
- Assist with performance management processes and documentation
Safety Coordination Functions
- Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular job site safety audits and inspections
- Coordinate safety training, including OSHA compliance and toolbox talks
- Maintain safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Assist in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment
- Stay current on federal, state, and local safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in HR, safety coordination, or a similar role (construction industry preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and HR best practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
